This case study presents the successful treatment of a 10-year-old male patient suffering from erythrodermic psoriasis, a chronic skin condition, for the past 3 years. Homeopathy was chosen as the treatment approach due to its perceived benefits, and the patient responded positively to the prescribed remedies.
The patient is a 10-year-old male who presented with a red rash covering his entire body skin. He had been diagnosed with psoriasis for the past 3 years and experienced recurrent episodes of erythrodermic psoriasis.
The patient’s long-relative, who was a doctor, opted for homeopathy as the treatment method based on their understanding of its advantages.
Upon examination, the patient exhibited symptoms of constant chilliness, shivering, a desire to cover his body, burning and itching sensations (which improved with hot application), weakness, and fatigue. Based on the totality of these symptoms, we administered Arsenic Album 30c with infrequent repetition. The patient responded well to this treatment within 3 months.
After 6 months, the patient began developing small plaques again. We decided to delve deeper into the patient’s case and prescribed his constitutional remedy, Calcaria Carb 200. Starting the constitutional treatment, the patient showed significant signs of recovery. Within 3 months, his skin had fully healed, and there were no visible plaques.
The patient was kept under observation at regular intervals of every 6 months. Remarkably, his psoriasis did not return for the following one and a half years. After a total treatment period of 3 years, the patient was considered completely cured, and his skin remained free from psoriasis.
